ATTN: for anyone looking at the PA15-NIS

i have it, sound is as good as the mp3 or your speakers allow: meaning if you have a high quality mp3 u can definately tell, if your speakers are aftermarkets it sounds even better.

Would those that have the PA15-NIS installed tell me if you need to turn up the radio volume for the ipod sound to come through than you normally play a cd? Thanks

can anyone make a DIY thread for installing this yourself? where have people had the ipod cord come out at? i could probably do this myself, depending on how hard it is to get to the back of the radio. just wasnt sure where to run the cables.

I'm going to take the plunge into the usa-spec myself. I got it for a pathfinder many years ago, and it worked great.

My FX doesn't have SAT, and reading the descriptions above, it seems that the display won't show the ipod content unless you have SAT.

I'm going to do both. I beleive the SAT plug is in the cargo area. so it doesn;t seem too involved to install the stock SAT unit and antenna, then the USA-SPEC.

Should be a nice set of upgrades.

Any warnings or advice before I dive in on installing both?

I had mine done and it has all the quality and power of a cd. but if u don't have the xm like mine, u can't see the text on ur screen. But the sound difference is worth it.

will do.

I'm trying to track down the best place to buy the stock Sat unit and antenna.
I think I'll install that first, and get that working like stock... then layer in the usa-spec on top of it.
