ARK Performance USA INC. : Looking for a local fx45 for Grip exhaust Test fitting

Hello FX45 owners!!

ARK Performance is looking for a local (Socal) guy to test fit our Grip exhaust system for the FX45. We will need the vehicle for one day and will offer Semi sponsorship (wholesale cost) to the tester.

All test fitters will be required to sign a liability release form.

For more questions Call in the office and ask for Edwin at (909)590-1275 or email me directly at Edwin@arkperformanceusa.com

Best regards
- Team ARK

FX50 please

I have a 2009 FX50S with tailer hitch....very interested.

Also, It would be much more preferred if you used 3'' piping so no power is lost. 2.5'' is much too small for our engines.

2003-2008 FX35 and FX45 share the same exhaust system, so it should work on both.

A true dual 2.5" should be plenty big.

Agreed, you might even want to go true dual 2.25" on a N/A engine.

Unless F/I is in Jonas' future.... (do it do it).

I know that the 07 and 08 45 have an extra set of cats and therefore a shorter ypipe than the other first gens. Not sure if the 06 does as well.
If you are developing a cat back system for the 45, this will make a big difference.

Hello Ark and others,

Here is one member's opinions on why 2.75 should be minimum with 3'' preferred for the FX50:

Sounds like Jon has had quite a lot of experience with exhaust with his past sports cars, so I don't want to necessarily ignore his advice especially for someone that has the money to switch in and out exhaust, make custom exhausts, test exhausts, etc...this is someone that has seen and felt first hand the gains himself instead of just reading about it or thinking what it should or shouldn't be like...all that comes with experience on best setup and gains.

So all I'm saying is if what Jon has mentioned holds any truth and based on his cash flow to be able to experiment, I would think that there would be some validity and if so, your exhaust will stand out hands down over any other as being the one to get (even more so). I would think the last thing you'd want is to produce something that could have produced more by just increasing the pipe size a little bit.

ARK is the best hands down, can't wait to get the GRIP exhaust on my ride

06+ 45's have 2.5" longer cats. Pre 06' 45 exhausts are swappable with all first gen 35's. Best to remove 2.5" of material behind flex pipe.
