ARK needs you! FX50 exhaust system!

Thanks for the replies, I really want to release the exhaust to everyone...I just wish I could see more potential in it, I keep getting everyone here asking make it make it and when we finally do it just dies down. I'm also looking for some dealers internationally

If i had a fx50 I'd jump on this on a heartbeat. Shoot if you make it for the 1st gen, I'd drop my invidia instantly.

The FX50 is going to be bought by enthusiasts more and more as years go by and sales of this exhaust will only increase year after year as the FX50 becomes more affordable used. I cant tell you how many times ive read 1st gen owners planning for a FX50 one day. Especially as more FX50s release videos, their comments, etc.

Looking just at the numbers purely on first group sale only is just plain silly from a business perspective especially in this scenario unless commission on the first sale is more important then the overall sales numbers this will generate for the company.

The potential sales of this should not be the hold up. If this exhaust doesn't roll out then it was something internal with Ark that they felt their exhaust wouldn't deliver or that they themselves weren't confident with after testing on the FX50.

It looks great, it sounds good, there are people wanting it, there will be even more people wanting it as time goes by, and there is no other exhaust available except for a shitty looking Borla on the FX50. If that is not enough confidence I'm not sure what is unless again this is all about commission on the first months sale or internal lack of confidence.

This line of thinking is very opposite of how Steve Jobs thought of business. He was so confident in his products he knew they would sell even when others like Steve Balmer laughed at him for it in the beginning. Asking to feel the market to decide on a production release shows lack of confidence, leaves the consumer wondering if they should think about this purchase a bit more, and lowers the momentum that was generated for the purchase of an ark exhaust on a FX50.

I vote release it.

If your main goal was profit from the start, maybe you should've created an FX45/FX35 exhaust since they interchangeable between the two models.

Thank you Jonas for the wonderful speech. I am very confident in our products and I'm not looking to sell out in an instant but market sense and confidence is very different. We as a company have certain focuses like the new Q50 exhaust and BMW line up. The FX50 is something that I feel is not just an enthusiast car, I understand that we are all enthusiasts here but in terms of the real world market there is a reason why the FX in general sells more in China and Russia than they do here. I've been to numerous SoCal and Norcal Infiniti dealers, even Georgia and Nevada and its very difficult to find the FX50.

This being said the ARK FX50 exhaust is something I wanted developed purely because of the interest of InfinitiScene and for you guys because you asked for me. From the standpoint of ARK and on a business standpoint the FX50 is on a very low priority. You have to understand that we have an invest a significant amount for a single system and if market response lacks returning at least even the investment back then this exhaust is a bad investment. Yes it is true that we will be one of the few exhaust systems on the market for the FX but there is a reason why no one else is focusing on it. If there is a long term potential there would be plenty of systems for us FX enthusiasts to choose from. To me the first sales are not as important as long term goals and thus I am not looking for first sales. This has nothing to do with confidence. If it were internal lack of confidence then I guess a lot of other renown exhaust companies like Akrapovic, HKS, Amuse, Invidia, and such have a very high amount of low confidence. Asking the feel of the market and asking for feedback for the community that I believe supports me is two very different things.

With all that being said my goal for the FX community is to bring to the table the best product lines we have and for my own end I need to be able to weigh my options of investment and future return. Hopefully everyone here can understand that. I am looking for enthusiasm and feedback like I said in my last post, I don't have a group buy up saying we must presell 10 systems or whatever to get something started. Again I am only here to help the community and if I'm seen as "silly" or "lacking confidence" then I will can the project in a whole because I am the only one that is willing to vouch for a FX50 system to be made thinking that I had the support from this community.

I guess it's just confusing why you would even go through the hassle and resources to mock up, design, and fabricate a system for a whole week if all along the FX50 is on a very low priority and wished you saw more potential in it.

You already received the feedback members. We have all helped in various ways. What exactly is the issue? You may get your question answered if it was more clear as to what your goal is from us? When you ask a question like can I get some feedback otherwise the exhaust won't be produced leaves the group puzzled like what the hell just happened here....what are you really trying to get at? Is the goal how many of us can commit to purchasing this in the first month? Is it something else? Do you see how there is a disconnect?

We are here to help, but we don't know how.

Is the FX50 system really different from the FX37 one? I'm pretty sure you could just sell one as fitting Fx35,37,50 and be done with it...?

^^^^^ like jbaker1121 said you said version 2 of the exhaust would fit all models ..discontinue the first version and sell the revised one .

I am working hard on it...a little more testing and we should be releasing something soon. I've put it back on track so hopefully you 50 guys will be happier

Thanks Lerry. A few more heard Rip's ARK exhaust and loved it. IMO, by far best sounding exhaust I've ever heard in my life, way different in person than in any video I've heard.

I've been to numerous SoCal and Norcal Infiniti dealers, even Georgia and Nevada and its very difficult to find the FX50.

That's interesting. I knew the FX50 was not readily available at every dealership but when I bought mine, I was able to make a selection based on mileage, color and just a general personal preference based on about five different FX50/FX50S models which I found at various Infiniti dealers ranging from LI to NJ. It's not like I searched extremely hard for these 50's either, I used Google to find them and then just made the necessary phone calls to ensure that they were actually on the lot at the dealer.

As far as a market for the exhaust I like my muffler delete but I also like the exhaust you have created for the 50. Being that there isn't another company producing a good reputable exhaust I can't see how you wouldn't look at this as cornering the market from the standpoint that, if I or anyone else were going to upgrade their exhaust to an actual aftermarket exhaust system, my choices would be Borla :bad: or ARK :good:. The fact that we all like the way it sounds, and for those like myself who like a little more noise, we can simply remove a cat to achieve that, it seems like a no brainier.

I think you have done a great job creating an exhaust that will appeal to a large majority of the market for FX50 owners looking for that aftermarket exhaust sound.
