ARK MIDPIPE CRACKED!!

Hello guys just sharing my unfortunate experience. So a little background on the exhaust: bought used in December and previous owner had it for about a year. Fast forward to yesterday, I wake up and start my baby up and notice a weird noise but didn't pay much mind to it, as I take off I notice the sound just keeps getting louder and louder and 5 mins later it feels like I'm driving my lawnmower. I got around to taking it to my boys shop and found the crack (maybe due to stress idk). Got it welded, now my question is how likely is ark to replace this if at all if I'm able to get the original purchase info? And has anyone experienced this before and got it replaced by them? I know it's a along shot since I didn't purchase it straight from them but I figured such an expensive exhaust should be backed by some kind of warranty. Any help appreciated.

Have you searched what kind of warranty ARK offers?

Normally on parts like this its going to be like a 1 year warranty, which it sounds like it has been more than 1 year (even ignoring the fact that you aren't the original buyer).

They could also blame it on the removal/reinstallation of the exhaust damaging it, incorrect installation, etc.

Try calling them, but I'm doubtful right now that they would do anything.

I never owned ARK exhaust but I did own HKS hi-power dual exhaust on my G35 coupe and the HKS exhaust has a flex pipe that connects to the stock cats/test pipe/HFC.

Does your ARK exhaust have a flex pipe?
By looking at your photo, that part looks like it should be a flex pipe on there but it's not

There's a flex section on the Ark, it's further up in the Y area.

Chances of getting it replaced as the 2nd owner and more than a year since purchase is basically zero. Sometimes welds have issues, no big deal. You've had it fixed, your exhaust is fine. If the inside of the muffler disintegrated, that would be a bigger issue and you might have a complaint.

Correct there is a flex pipe but further up where it connects to the up pipes.

ARK has 1 year warranty and unfortunately won't replace something like that after the warranty is expired.
