Random thought - would wrapping the flex pipe in high temperature exhaust wrap potentially eliminate the vibration? I understand the only way to truly know would be to purchase the exhaust wrap and try it. Just curious if the wrap would have any vibration absorption properties while acting as a barrier between the flex pipe and the frame?

I had a Invidia on my 2011 FX35 and that sounded awesome on the V6. I have been running a Borla on my FX50s with no issues. I wish you luck with your ARK as I was in the same boat when deciding the best exhaust for mine.

Not much.

Where Can you purchase the ark exhaust for a 5.0l FX50?
I’ve searched for hours, but only the V6 model is an option..
As I live in Denmark, which isn’t a country filled with exhaust wielding specialists, I really want a complete solution, instead of something that needs anything done..
Buuuut, I also really want the ark exhaust

Are you sure they are different?

Yeah, the exhaust for the 5.0L V8 is different than that of the 3.5L/3.7L V6. Minor modifications needed for it to fit.

I don’t recall the details but someone mentioned it in my classified ad for my ARK Grip a few months back.

Update: took the FX to a muffler shop this past Friday and after 10 min of "massaging" the flex pipe, they created an additional 3cm of space between the pipe and the frame. No more vibration and the shop owner didn't charge me a penny.

I am seriously considering the borla exhaust on my QX70 5.0 V8. I am worried about the drone at Low rpm. Love the car but the exhaust is too tamed for what the car can do.
