Arizona (replaced dashboard) now what?

Hello all, I've had my FX for two weeks now. Prior to me owning, the dash was replaced by the dealer. I want to protect the dash but I didn't necessarily want to use a dash cover. Is there a recommended protectant that I should be using? Please advise....

Some sort of tint on your windshield to cut down heat/UV rays might be the best option. I guess we don't know how this dash will react to sun/heat as much as the old one.
 
Yeah, and if you don't want tint you can actually have a clear UV film applied to the inside of your windshield and it will do the same thing.
 
Thanks for the info...looking at the film option....here in AZ the sun is brutal and the dash is black so I gotta get something...
 
Sorry, yeah I meant a clear tint if you don't want to affect the darkness of the windshield. If you use a radar detector, just make sure it won't block it.
