Are my wheels ruined?

Took my car to one of these hand car washes they have throughout NYC and I believe they ruined my rims as I have not been able to get these stains out. Some have recommended Mequiers G14234 all wheel cleaner, a clay bar or WD40. Have not tried those yet but wanted to see what the creative hive minds here suggest. They stated it was like that which will be a back an forth in small claims court.

Please advise.

I will say, they need to be repainted.

Try some standard car polish, even Turtlewax, something that states it removes fine scratches. That should come right off. What did it do to the rest of the FX?

Thanks for the suggestion, I will give that a try as I performed a small test with WD40 and a microfiber cloth and it seems to remove majority of the staining,thank goodness it does not seem permanent.

Lesson learned.
