I'm looking for a set of Engin/Trany Oil coolers. I see a lot of them from $50 to $800. Some have Fans, and some don't.

Anyone out there have has these installed???

You'd have more people with feedback on Z-G forums but I believe Rookie and that other Texan JWT user (can't remember the name) had one.. They're basically intercoolers that oil(or transmission liquid) pass through. Some have more advanced features but a simple one should have a good effect given that it receives air. There was a fanned oil cooler install on the .org..

edit: here it is: http://www.infinitifx.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4617&hilit=+oil+cooler

I have an engine oil cooler and will add a tranny fluid cooler soon. I have a sandwich plate and a remote oil thermostat that bypasses the oil cooler when the oil reaches a certain temperature.

I will be upgrading the cooler and buying a tranny cooler at the same time so that I have both of them black bar+plate coolers instead of tube+fin.

Thanks that the one I was looking at by B&M.

I also saw a Mishimoto Radiator replacement with bigger fans on ebay. Does the G35 Radiator fit the FX?

What brand and are you happy with it?

Permacool, not terribly happy with it. The hose clamps that come with it suck. I plan on getting one like what you posted...

Talk about resurrecting an old thread...

My turn for the engine and tranny cooler. Looked at the B&M, but also found a dual core Flex-a-lite that can do both engine and tranny oil at the same time (separate cooling paths in the same cooler). Any experience with a dual core - this brand or others? I also read on other forums that a thermostat/valve to bypass the cooler was a good idea. Anybody have anything to add?

thermostat is good because a tranny that's too cool is almost as bad as a tranny that's too hot... the thermostat will let it reach operating temps much quicker than without it

I ended up going with the B&M with the built in Thermostat and the 6" fan. They make 2 sizes. Mine is the smaller one of the 2. I beleive if I had gotten the bigger one, I would not have been able to fit it.

For Engine cooler, I use a 14 row cooler. I think Flex-a-Lite make a Oil Filter Sandwitch (p/n 3961) or you can get the ebay version.

The best I've seen though is by ARC which is $1300.:err:
