rookie didnt you install the Apollo's, you had to remove the seat thou. What was the rear drop like with the seat. How low with, how low without. like 1.5, 2.0.....?

because if you removed the seat, then it was no longer adj, right? It would just be a spring.

I've changed my suspension more times than I can count. I don't have the same body or wheel well as a stock FX so can't tell you what I'm dropped. I can tell you my front belly pan scrapes sometimes, and I have scraped my GT spec lower bar. John posted picture or image of his 315/30-22 rubbing the wheel arch, my tire is 28.9" and I just about sit on the wheel well fully dropped.

so just how stiff & choppy is the ride with these? I know it's hard to really tell in words what it does feel like, but is it very agressive? do you think it is stiff enough that it really takes away a somewhat luxury ride? this does look very interesting & tempting to play with, but I'm afraid it's going to just kill all hopes of a comfortable vehicle after, would an average passenger just think wtf did you do to this thing or is it not really so so bad? ...

I wanted to by the H&R Springs, but now Im interested in coilovers. I wanna know if they were direct bolt on, or did it require more work. Speaking of the Murano HKS type S Coilovers of course. Cause Im thinking of just rolling with the apollos.

The springs in the rear to me were too long, the shocks matched the springs well though cause after switching to H&R springs after the Apollos the rear would not squat very well during my drag racing. I did better with oem shocks and H&R springs.

Overall, it is a stiffer ride then Eibachs and oem shocks. Not sure if that means much, but it is a noticeable difference.

tubocad has worked out a good formula to me for dropping the suspension points and using more off the shelf parts then getting the Apollo kit which I think is 1k-1200 before shipping.

dude, the thread with my suspension mod's is here:

///6157

to sum it up, I went as low as possible without actually swapping out for coilovers, kept the ride & comfort of the H&R springs with kyb struts instead of a stiffer smaller spring coilover type setup, maybe not quite as low as possible with coil overs, but probably better ride for most & probably low enough for most too really & easy enough to do, although the actual welding should be professionally done would be my advice for sure, aside from the welding of the struts & rear lower arm it's just bolt in...

just dropped it recently so no snow experience yet, but it should be every bit as great as it was in the snow, nothings changed to affect that really.

even in nyc pothole central it rides & handles them fine, it really rides every bit as well as it did before but the lower center of gravity improves the body roll situation & handling a bit, it's not harsh at all, feels real good on the street & handles like it's on rails on the street, better all around than it ever was if you ask me. if your going to be at the barbeque sunday I should be there with it...
