AP RACING, H&R Spacers, YAKIMA Roofrack

I still consider myself a newbie compared to the rest of you guys but moving on up. Finally pulled the trigger on a bbk, Soonster I blame you for my current mod addiction!!! Thank you Don Blaze for your lovely AP Racing kit. I was very nervous that these 14.25 and 15" rotors were not going to fit behind my OEM 18's on my 04 FX. Purchased 25mm H&R spacers, calipers and rotors fit like a glove, literally. Definitely can feel the difference in cornering from the pushed out wheels, and braking is insane compared to stock. I also picked up a YAKIMA bike rack with sprocket rocket bike holders off of CL. These things are solid, and beautiful, almost perfectly match the color on my car. They do not budge with bikes on car. Just in time for my trip up to Martha's Vineyard. Here are some pics of install, and new look after:

I also had HKS exhaust with midpipe put on earlier this year. She's coming along beautifully.

Yessir! They have stayed in the IS fam. I was back and forth daily between your posts and Chedmans trying to figure out which brakes and rotors I needed. You two assisted me so much without knowing it. Thank you. Lol. Adam from Stillen is in the process of sending me new rotor discs ($$$$$) and I have new Mintex pads waiting for them.

As you can tell from the other thread, those chrome stick ons will be coming off shortly.

Thank you sir! I have h&r springs sitting in my trunk that need to be installed first, along with a kyb strut/shock kit. Holding off on larger wheels for now, not sure if my messed up back is ready for 20's and up. Plus I just bought brand new michelin hp's this summer, considering getting a lighter forged set of 18's. I know most of IS scene thinks 18's are too small. Lol. Before I do any of that a viper system is going in the car. Considering I visit NYC, and Queens weekly.

Chrome is off! Nice and clean, ps pulling off chrome pillars has destroyed my fingertips. Thanks all!

Ha yes, I have some great fx folks in my corner so hopefully my newbie status will end soon. Lol. And I agree, after driving with the bbk, it is absolutely a necessity. Just gotta watch out for the idiots behind me now on the road.

I was about to buy the akebono kit but the AP racing kit kind of fell in my lap. I think both are incredible systems, now ridden in cars with each. I must say though, now that I have bought new rotor discs, hardware kits, and new front and rear pads.... akebono is wayyyy more economical. BUT my 14.25 and 15" rotors with the massive calipers are heaven to look at and drive. Comes down to budget (or irrational mindset) and what works best for you.

I rolled the large chunks of adhesive off. Then used goo gone with a paper towel. Let it soak a bit and all came right off. (Goo gone only because I had it in the house already) Promptly took car to get washed to clean any residue off.

Pillars came off with broken finger nails, patience, hair dryer, and thin fishing line. Lol.

Thank you thank you! PS I never made it to Azumal, that will have to wait until next year. But I did go to Cozumel which was great. Especially Hooters Cozumel. Lolol.
