Curious if there is anything else I can do to benefit my fx45 beater
Mods
-coolant throttle body bypass
-hot air intake routed down below headlight
-foglight delete with 45* elbow Pointed right at the air filter about 3" away
-Fx35 fan swap, dakota digital 2800bt
-Custom aluminum intake box lined with double bubble insulation
-DEI intake pipe cover
-Updated factory cam and crank sensors
-LFR6AIX-11 spark plugs (what gap should I run?)
-Tru cool 40k trans cooler
-Trans Go reprogramming

Next month - tune

Anything else?????

The tune should wake it up.
Make sure the tuner gives you full control of the throttle, not the ECU, and gets the rev limit up to 7300k.
Cutting the secondary cats out, before the tune, will help some, will improve the sound without making it Loud, and it will not affect emissions - there is no O2 sensor after those cats.
Transmission - this is the worst part of that car, there is so much power loss through its not even funny...
...I found that my transmission, post TransGo shift kit install, likes Redline D6 better than the thicker D4, it made the shifts crisper and the transmission more awake going with the lower viscosity.
And, before going the LS route, remember - the VK45DE sounds so much more composed !!!
