Anyone with 09+ Cargo Organizer?

Hi guys,

Does anyone have the cargo organizer for the 09+ FX? I really want one, so I bought the cargo area protector already, and will get the organizer soon.

However, I'm seeing conflicting photos on the internet of where the organizer is located. The infiniti USA website shows that the organizer is pushed back against the rear seats. But I have some photos of the organizer close to the opening of the hatch.

There is only 1 set of holes on the cargo protector, so my guess is that it can be mounted either far in or more out. Can anyone confirm this?

I have one. it uses metal brackets that clamp to the edges of the rear lift up cover, then you have to cut holes for studs that extend up into the cargo cover maybe?. you can put the brackets either all the way forward or all the way back your choice. if you switch forward or rearward after already installing rearward or forward already then you'll wind up seeing holes from the previous position I think, but you'll see no holes if you just install it in one place & leave it there. maybe they even work in a way without making a second set of holes too, come to think of it, I'm not sure about that part

it's different from the first gen design, it has no bottom at all, the bottom is the cargo cover underneath & supposedly it requires the cargo cover for it to work with the clamp system I guess. I don't have the cargo cover or an 09 so I didn't use these brackets at all, I just have mine screwed down solid directly to my lift up panel. the new one is nice because it really folds pretty flat when folded. I can't say how secure it'll be with the brackets cause they don't fit my 03 at all, but should be ok I guess. if not you could always wind up screwing it down too. the more I think about it the more I'm thinking you probably don't have to make any other holes, probably only the center holes that are there are necessary, & then depending on if it's forward or back the other set of clamps probably work somehow without add'l holes?

if your tal, king about the orginizer that can collapse and then be reopened i have one, and itts held down by 4 screws that u can take off by hand, if u want i'll sell u mine. i got a system installed and have no room for it anymore.

when I pick up the car, the organizer put close to the hatch, I used it awhile and feel lack of truck space whenever the organizer is opened. so I moved it to closer to back of the real seat, the truck feel bigger, but then it is not easy to open/close the organizer.

Bringing this post back from the dead. Anyone have any experience with the Gen2 cargo organizer? Thoughts? Anyone have one they want to get rid of?

Infiniti of Troys website is back up and I thought about grabbing this with a cargo mat. Decent price shipped with the 25% coupon.

Thanks bud. I saw that one which made me start looking.

Wonder if people who bought one actually got good use out of it, or if they regret it in any way?

It's better to pay $149.00 than over $400.00 for a new one, and it turns your FX into an excellent "grocery getter". I have a 1st gen holder and it's great. :good: You won't regret it.

I have the organizer and when I was looking for my new to me (used) FX, I saw a couple cars that were missing it and I made sure the one I was going to buy had one. I really like the functionality of it, especially when bringing the groceries home, as it keeps the stuff from flying all over the cargo hold. Saying that I will be removing it for the summer months or only putting it in when I plan on using it. I am an avid golfer and it gets in the way when I'm putting the clubs and my push cart in the rear. It is just a pain as it sits up and then also gets the dirt and grass collecting in it. If I were a designer I would have designed this to be flush with the floor when collapsed. There is certainly room over the spare and underneath to create an integrated system that would work the same way.

As for mounting it either forward or back. I tried it both ways and I like the forward position and there are no holes visible in either position.

It's useful if you keep a lot of little stuff in the back like me, I have my emergency road kit, a small 12V powered tire pump, some cleaning supplies, you get the point. It will come in handy to keep stuff from sliding around. The down side is it takes up almost all of the room you have back there. Don't expect to put anything big back there while you have the organizer open and full, even with it set up in the pushed back position.

getting it thru suburban Infiniti is cheaper then eBay way cheaper

Yep, way cheaper even with shipping for brand new. Both the mat and the organizer, plus a pack of valve stem caps for $182 out the door.

Reading this makes me want to put mine back in. I took it out cause it took up space. Now everythings bouncing around in the hatch.

I line mine up with the bolt holes closest to the rear hatch. It has Velcro on the bottom so it stays in place without the bolts. Keep a towel and cargo blanket in there and groceries etc when needed. Easily folds flat when I haul stuff with the seats down. Pops right out, Velcro, if needed. There is space between the seat and the organizer and can fit a big carseat between it and the rear hatch.

I never even bolted my cargo organizer I just ended up using the Velcro and it has stayed in place.
