Anyone using this - Infiniti 03+ FX45 Short Ram Intake - LMS

Curious if anyone who has a FX45 using this Cold Air Intake?

This is the closest one I can find that is made for the FX45.

If someone is currently using it:

1) How was performance?
2) Gain any extra mileage?
3) Was it noisy??

If this helps gain at least .5 or 1 mile extra per gallon then the price will pay for itself within a year.

There are a couple running around. I believe LMS is discontinuing their performance stuff though.

I have noticed there is really nothing out there, and from what I have seen under the hood, the 45 already has a cold air intake, it must do a pretty good job since nobody out there is really trying to improve it, or very few are anyway. I was looking for an adapter that would allow a conical K&N filter to fit on the end of the intake pipe, and sit inside the air box, nobody has anything like that that I have seen, would be interested if someone sees that out there, thanks

I know Chedman (FX45) had a FX35 Stillen CAI that fits inside an airbox for sale but sold it. Not sure if he was trying to do what you were describing with the Stillen but maybe you can check with him?

It's from almost 4 years ago. LMS has changed sites a few times since then, and they no longer sell performance parts for the FX. They were always bigger with the Lexus crowd anyway, so any LMS FX stuff that is out there is pretty rare.

I bought one from a member on the .org in 07 .... had rough idle issues and stalled .... went back to factory.
