anyone installed H&R springs on 09+ FX yet?

An email I just got from TireRack:

"Scott,
The H&R Sport Spings you ordered have unfortunately been delayed until 3/20/10 into our warehouse. I will keep you order as placed for shipment on 3/20/10. I know you previously stated as long as they are in by March, we're still fine. It is possible it may arrive early March, but I'll keep you posted if that changes.

I sure hope they are available by then so I can install a set in the Spring.

I thought for sure you'd get a chance to see a 2nd gen lowered before this spring came around and you ordered, but at this rate you're going to be a pioneer :tup:

I think I could say, it will not be me. I'm taking off for the Mayan Riviera in a couple of days and won't be back until March. Then I have to have the FX into the bodyshop to replace a front fender. Some dickweed drove into me while I was parked at a gas station to get gas, he caused $2,100 damage:mad: Doh, he said he didn't see me parked there:rolleyes:

Now that's BAD news (not the trip THAT sounds amazing) can you have it done while you are gone OR are you like me and do you not trust anyone else to manage a body repair?

I must be like you because I don't want to leave it there for over a month. I would rather be close by. I drop it off Mar 8th and they will have a car for me for the 3 days they will have it. Then I will have to wait a while before I can get the clear bra re-installed. It's a pain in the keester.
 
Nobody has them. I have called 5 different stores and countless online companies. The earliest they are coming is March (almost 2 years after the car was first introduced (urgh:mad:)

I've just received a phone call by my mechanic:
My H&R springs will arrive next wed (24 feb...)... :rofl:

I'll post some pictures when installed...
If the springs REALLY arrive,of course!!!

Sweet, can't wait to see. I wonder if you can cut 1/2 a coil on the front springs for the 09+ FX's.
 
I hope you're right! I talked directly with H&R yesterday actually, and was told that it was still in R&D with no definitive date set though ... what I want to know is where's Eibach??

Oh well, hoping it works out for you!
 
can't wait too see one of those slammed, i hope h&R has a good drop for the car. because i know for the fx35 eibach and h&r were a little too high

Make sure you get the SCRATCH SHIELD paint. Otherwise you might have panels that become mismatched over time.
 
I fear it's that time again to play "Who wants to be disappointed with H&R, round 23", however, as the 1st-gens get to drool over the sweet coil overs, at least we may have something to look forward to.

Got a call from my shop, the guy claims to have tracked down a magical set of these, claiming that they are now starting to slowly ship. I know, I know, we've all heard that before. Nonetheless, I am placing down the money today and will know soon enough. So who wants to take bets, will it be for the wrong vehicle, a set of 1st-gens, "back ordered" ... :ever:
