Anyone here have lamin-x yellow film on their fog lights?...

I personally hate the look with yellow film - only reason that's "JDM" or "GDM" is because it was cheaper to use a regular bulb and colored plastic rather than a colored bulb because it's hard to get that exact shade without the plastic. (back then when the yellow plastic came with the car)
However, with newer tech, we can get similar result by just getting yellow bulbs.
If you like the look, go for it.
If you want the yellow light and not the arguably "ricer" yellow film look, just get the bulbs.

The amount of work to put in the bulbs is prob the same as applying the vinyl - 15min a side?

It's a very dated look. Looks alright on some cars that are heavily modified with the JDM theme. But on everything else, it sticks out like a sort thumb. As jbaker says, just buy the bulbs if you want yellow light. Film is cutting your light output anyways.

If you want to protect your foglights from pitting and road debris, they make clear or tinted film. It will be much less random. Just saw a car yesterday rocking yellow film on the headlights and foglights. It was a sweet Ford ZX2 and to accompany the film, he had all the required drifting and JDM decals.
