Hey guys, Any1 running either 285-40-22 or 285-35-22..on lowered springs?

How is the ride quality? any fender rolling needed? Rubbing?

I run a 285/35/22 on a drop and have slight rubbing in the rear. It depends on your planned offset and rim width also.

I had some noise issues running 285/40/22 Falkens with 22x9 rims. I say get 285/35 instead.. Looks much better as well.

Thanks...I plan on having a full boat in the car plus some goodies in the trunk..what would be the best offset so I wont rub at all even with a full boat?

I just got my 22x9.5's with 35mm offset. Ride quality is great with 285/35/22 size tires. IMO, that looks better than the 40 series tire.

I'm lowered on H&R's (uncut) and don't rub, at all.

In comparison, H&Rs dont even look like a drop in some cases. Especially on new installs before settling.

What is your rim width and offset?..Do you rub with stuff in the trunk and with 4 people?

I have a simular question to the topic of the tread. With H&R springs and 22x10.5 with +35mm offset in the rear will I have rubbing issues? I'm torn between 285/35/22 and 305/35/22 for the rear

Rim width is 9.5, and offset is +35. Haven't had a chance to test for rubbing with 4 people and a full trunk loaded, but I did have all four of my stocks, plus two of my wifes tires (which were also getting replaced) in the FX, on the way home - no rubbing with that fairly large load.
