Antifreeze may be leaking?

I noticed this today where the radiator cap meets the coolant hose. It seems as though some Antifreeze escaped passed the clamps for the coolant hoses. I checked everywhere to see if I see a puddle of antifreeze and there isn't any. None of the parts in the engine bay have antifreeze on it. And I've been keeping an eye out on the coolant level in the reservoir take for the past year after every 3K mile inspection I do myself just to make sure filters are clean and all fluids are at their proper level when warm. And the coolant level has been at the same level it always has this past year so nothing suspicious.

I was thinking maybe its normal for a tad bit of coolant to escape past the clamps on the hoses sometime since their under high pressure???

I'll take a peak when I get home, but it doesn't look like a leak... Peak, antifreeze, get it? Lol, man I'm tired.

Took a look this morning and WOW, is my engine bay dirty... However, mine looks completely clean Aaron.. Yours doesn't look bad, sort of like condensation buildup but with AF.

I've seen this type of leak a lot mainly on the vq35hr and newer motors - not sure why it happens but usually a new set of clamps and a hose will resolve the problem.
 
Well I wiped off the hose and there it is again! A little bit of coolant going through. It must be an extremely slow leak because my coolant level in the overflow tank is still exactly the same.


@Bythabay, you were right. It is a common problem on the VQ35HR. I found a couple of threads relating to this problem in the 07-08 G35 sedan with the HR motor:

Seems like it's just the clamp....

I'm not in a big hurry to take it in to get it fixed. But probably will in the next few weeks when I get my oil changed.

Dealer fixed this issue for me today. Found the bleeding valve leaking coolant and tightened it up and also adjusted the clamps or something and refilled with some new coolant. Everything is A OK now :D

After getting this fixed I found out today the another different hose is leaking too smh. Is there something wrong with these clamps or what? lol Last time dealer replaced the hose and use those other clamps where you tighten them up.

The hose that's leaking now is pretty bad. Good thing I'm going thursday Haven't been having the best of luck lately.

Those clamps suck, I always replace them with the ones you tighten.
 
Yeah on past cars these clamps always ended up leaking. I think since it's compression clamps they lose their strength after a while. Dealer replaced my last hose and clamp with the ones you tighten by screwing it.
 
It's my daily...almost 50 miles a day. Chicago trips sometimes. Road trips, vacation trips...you know...things that us guys like Wayne, Ian, and I like to do. :)

Why don't you put on another 300 or whatever miles and head up to visit me since you need more. hehe

although I've been saying 60k for awhile now too...I think I'm at 58k or something but 60 is a big # b/c of the warranty.
