So I removed the reservoir for the coolant, drained that out and left it off. Unscrewed the radiator cap and went under the car to undo the screw to drain the coolant in the radiator until it stopped. Put the reservoir back to how it originally was. Poured the premixed directly into the radiator and turned the car on, turned the heat on and reved it alittle till 3000 rpm. Fans didnt turn on until a bit later. Sat there with the car running on idle when it reached the middle to see if it would heat up. Had a little bit of coolant left so i poured it into the reservoir, went back into the car and reved some more and the needle went past the middle so i stopped and let it idle and needle stayed still so i turned the car and now im waiting for everything to cool back down. Did i miss something??
antifreeze coolant. Did i do something wrong?

You have air bubbles in the system.
Remove the bleeder valve and let the car "burp" the air bubbles out while running the car.
