Has anyone removed the AM/FM antennae from their car? I'd like to pull it, fill the holes and paint it but I DON'T want to kill the AM/FM signal.

Viet has...the fx has two antennas..the top and one built in the rear window, the radio selects from the strongest signal.

Viet did this already, and Humberto just did this...but he has not taken delivery of his car yet to determine quality or degradation of sound. Probably he will be able to tell you next week.

Since the FX has 2 antennae, it shouldn't be that bad. AND the antennae has nothing to do with the Navi.

Thanks guys-Good to know. Dealer described the front antennae as the main AM/FM pick up, no description regarding dual antennaes. I'll wait for Bert to see if his signal is acceptable.
