OK, so I have been lately running into issues with my FX :at-wits-end: here is another one. I got the latest update to the Navigation system on DVD. Scoot my passenger seat all they way upfront, remove DVD cover, press eject... hear a mechanism working... click.... click.... click.... dvd does not come out... The screen shows message, "Ejecting [bla-bla-bla]..." and acts as if dvd was ejected. I have to restart the car for it to go back to normal, as it sees that NAV dvd is still in place... So, what do I do? Is there easier solution than to take apart NAV DVD player? I hope there is.... :ninja:

Mike, you don't have much luck with things around your FX lately. Sorry to hear that. Only way is to remove the seat.

I had that issue once. Here is what worked for me.
Take Scotch clear packing tape, cut three 6" long pieces and stick them together one on top of the other, making sure you have sticky side left exposed on one side. With that, turn car to on position, slide the packing tape piece into the DVD slot, sticky side facing down, about half way, use a credit card to slightly push on it inside so it sticks to the DVD, not too hard though, now press the eject button, the second you hear the eject mechanism click pull the tape out, it should pull the DVD with it.
Hope that works ;)

Adam, thank you... will definitely give this a shot when I get home today....

I guess it comes with an age... still, FX is going to stay with me for long time... :rotfl:

If you do remove the seat the car will be lighter, subsequently the car will be faster. i say remove the seat, fix the NAV and go with the faster FX. Good call Andy.
