my family loves mercedes...
my mom had an s500 then an s430, now has an r500
my dad had an e AMG covertable, now has a jaguar xk8 and a jaguar xjr, both used but amazingly fun to drive.
my grandfather has had mercedes most of his life--the latest is the cl500 launch edition
however my grandmother recently got an m35x instead of her usual e class mercedes...but yeah

jbaker - I liked my benz for what it was. It was an 07 C230. In retrospect though, I knew the power, or lack thereof, would be a problem for me (2.5L V6 with 201hp). I opted for the 6-spd manual, but I couldn't get Infiniti out of my mind, and even with manual, I couldn't get used to the lack of performance, so here I am. My Mom, however, liked my car so much, she bought herself an 08 C300 4-matic. Its nice, little plain (luxury package versus sport), but she digs it.
I'm definately already feeling the modding bug. I haven't done much yet except swap out my fogs with matching 4300K xenons. I bought the Stillen Cold Air intake (hasn't arrived), and after christmas, I think I'm leaning towards a Nismo exhaust. Not sure what else I'm going to do, but whatever I do, I'll be sure to post pics
