Annual Midwest Spring/Fall Area Meet in Chicago

I really need to stop viewing this thread during work. It's causing my computer to run really slow.
Maybe it's time to tell your boss you need a better computer so you can view pic when you're not busy at work

Hey Ian, for selecting the spot for the back drop for the photo shoot.
Yeah no prob... Lot's of other places in Chicago where photo shoots would be amazing; some might be difficult with a lot of cars.

When berto comes to town, I have some great spots for his car:smug:. I hope to be here to shoot it.

I had a great time as well hopeful we can do this again. Picked up more ideas from my fellow FXers to keep my bank account at a low balance. LOL It was fun and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Haha nice, need moar teasers

Still bummed you couldn't make it to Busse Ed. Now you have to come out to Aurora! :wink (2):

Will do! If you ever come out to Chicago too, let me know.

Java is busted on this machine so I can't use the bulk loader for Photobucket, so will have to be tonight for the rest of the photos.

Here are a few...

This one is a bad shot, but you can see Marek's new tail lights that are backward C shaped, and match the 09+ FX generation tail lights.

Whoa sick pics!

Any info on that skidplate? And man do Marek's angel eyes look great from 10-15 feet away.

Handy_Andy, aka MacGyver found a Jeep in the parking lot and ripped off the skid plate and used double sided tape to put it on his FX.

When I saw this....I laughed really loud at work and got looks.

For those of you that weren't there....Ian made such a big deal about how he didn't have rims and felt really embarrassed and probably mentioned it a dozen times during the meet. He even tried to keep his car out of as many pictures as possible. So of course, what do we do? Start focusing on his rims.:laugh::tongue (2):

Ok the detail on the skip plate: You all may have notice that I changed out the 03 lower door chrome trims and rocker panels to the +06 version (the big fat ones). I did not want to change out the front bumper cover like AeroBFA does because I like the < 06 fog lights, plus change out the front bumper cover is too much $$. So was on the hunt to fine a way to have a touch of chrome on the lower front bumper. I found the 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee skid plate within my price range for the mod. It needs a bit of alteration/finesse such as trim out the tabs, using a heat gun to straighten out the ends and edges to make it look belong to the FX. For the meet I just use double side tape and attached to the lower front bumper. It still needs some touches and a couple of holes drilled so I can use some chrome bolts to permanently mount it. I took pics a long the way. I can put up a DIY if there's interest.

Jonas, I love your "NO BUG MARK DETERMINATION"

I've been in a few clubs with various rides but I can honestly say that this is the funnest group yet. I had a blast and laughed so hard on our Cruise checkn the mods on Andy's whip. Gotta say you are a true DIU Guru, that skid looks even better in person! :iS:
Jonas, that Photo caption made me LMFAO, very well done!

Mini Meet, Mini Meet! My garage is always open Let me know.

someone Please let me mess around with these pictures?

Andy's got the million pics taken with crazy advanced DSLR camera. I would PM him which photos you want to work with. So you'd be working with top notch pictures from him. Andy knows his IT, cars, and cameras! :smile (2):

haha Jonas.

Just noticed, you need to get Marek's side LEDs=)

You're talking about the mirror turn signals (Ian's mod) or something else?

fxp, he linked his photobucket link for the album a few posts earlier. I'm sure he won't mind if you use a few pics from there.
