American Racing Torq Thrust M 22"

I was wrong, the offset is +30, so I'm almost positive I'll need a 20mm spacer for these to sit right. Also, I searched around the site for information on hub bore and couldn't find anything concrete. The hub bore on these is 70.64, does anyone know if that will work with our cars?

No need for a spacer, unless you want it to be pretty much flush with the body. If so you are looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-15mm for a spacer to accomplish that. However if you choose wider tires the buldge may make a difference and appear to be flush.

I think they look great. There was a brand new set here on closeout for $800 in 22 x 9.5, so I think they can be had pretty reasonable.

You must be looking at the same ebay auction I am. I just got a quote for a set of 22x9.5 +30et with Hankook Ventus R06 265/40/22 tires for $1650 mounted, balanced and shipped. They'll probably be as heavy as bricks but at that price I think I'm gonna go for it. My credit card is going to be pissed...

Oh when I said here I meant locally in Houston from a wheel and tire shop that had one set in stock. I just checked ebay and apparantly they can be had there for about the same or a little more, so I guess it wasn't really a "closeout" lol.

I was planning on leaving them the Anthracite color they are now. The wheel also comes in black or chrome but I didn't like either of those all that much. If everything works out with them I may just get the spokes powder coated to match the FX.

Matching the body of your ride is an excellent idea (if you decide to go that route) silver on silver with a polished lip always looks good......IMO.....

I'm now second guessing buying these wheels. The vendor is giving me a set of hubcentric rings (66.1 ID x 70.64 OD) but he says the wheels are lug-centric and don't really need them. Of course I waited until know to fully read up on the difference between hub-centric and lug-centric wheels and there are lot of articles out there saying that lug-centric wheels can have all sorts of things go wrong with them.

Should I give these wheels a shot? I assume from what I've read on the forums that a lot of you guys are running lug-centric wheels with different center bores than OEM. Any specific issues I should watch out for?

Not many aftermarket wheels are going to be hubcentric, manufacturers do this so their rims will fit a variety of vehicles. This is why they are sending you hubcentric rings, which will aid in the centering of your rim.

Cool, sorry for being a drama queen guys, thanks for the info. All my experience with aftermarket wheels has been with hubcentric models so the lugcentric thing is kind of new to me and since these were a bit of an impulse buy I'm kind of nervous. Waiting on the tracking number now, I'm hoping they get here this week. I'm having my springs put on at the same time so I'll post some pictures after it's all finished.

Sweeet. The wheels got here today and they look pretty badass, I hope they look as cool once I get them mounted. The vendor forgot to include hub centering rings. Should I order some or wait and see if they'll go on without them? I'm not even sure where to go to get hub centering rings. I need 66.1 - 70.64 for my wheels.

When you first mention hub rings I did a seach for the right size. I didn't find one for the size so I doubt your vendor had it. I say just put them on without the hub rings and post the pics up.

My springs won't be here until next week so everything is getting put on next Wednesday. I'll post pics as soon as I get her back from the shop.

wow, you got some restraint... I'd be out there at midnight jacking it up :tongue (2):

I think they'll look good, def add a sporty attitude to the ride, tieing it in with other stuff that adds to the sporty look will make them look like an even better "fit", stuff like maybe blacking out the grille, def lowering,etc..

if you do get them on there & then decide you want to do spacers, I'd highly recommend you get custom spacers at that point over just off the shelf... reason being you can get spacers made that will have a 66.1 center bore with the appropriate outer bore to fit the wheels, thereby eliminating the need for seperate hub rings... in essence the spacers would also be the hub rings,,, def a good idea if you going with spacers on a wheel that needs hub centric rings anyway

Not so much restraint as just no choice. I'm swamped with work right now so they would have to sit for a few days anyway. I got a good price on my springs but I think they're being shipped on the back of a 3-legged mule because it's going to take them 6 days to get here from CA.

The custom spacer suggestion is a good one, it didn't even occur to me to do that. I still have to print out the template and check the clearance to see if the FX50s brake upgrade will fit so I may end up needing spacers for that. Where would I go to get custom spacers? If I was having them made I would prefer to get them done out of aluminum rather than the hard plastic they sell most places.

I plan on blacking out the grill with PlastiDip this weekend unless it rains and my hood protector is on the way which I think will go nicely with the blacked out grill. I have a STB and rear braces on order from GT-Spec but they won't be here until the end of the month.

At this rate I'll be sleeping in the back of my FX and eating Ramen noodles. I want to thank everyone on this forum for contributing to my future bankruptcy.
