well my 03 will be going under the knife soon. overheating issues after changing plugs and replace valve covers and seals. specific to the overheating we replaced out all of the hoses, the thermostat and radiator cap. water pump still works and so do the fans. bleeding techniques work for a while but it'll still overheat.

so i'm getting ready to replace the head gasket, radiator, fans and anything else that might need it. i still love the car even though it's in it's elder years. it's my little daily surftrip mobile. engine and tranny still pull strongly.

back to my request... i'd like to upgrade the cooling performance. any recommendations on aluminum radiators and heavier duty cooling fans??

A lot of time overheating due to debris trap in the front of the radiator fins where is didn't getting enough cooling surface. Hose it down have solve a couple of FX on here that I know of. Give it a try.

+1

Mine was filthy as was Chris's. It looked like we nose dived into mud.

Oem is fine, just needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Hi bro! I am also running a G-Radiator..Like La_fx35 said..Hose it down completely..had 2 FX's here in Taiwan with the same problem...After hosing it down...refill the tank, drop in a bottle of REDLINE wetter weter...They are awesome BTW...and
keeps the temp slightly down..Great stuff!

thx everyone. we did remove the radiator and power washed both front and back even tho it didn't have any signs of the caked on build up seen on others.

what's the advantage of the g35 radiator over the fx35's?

thx dragonh. i'll try the redline wetter wetter. that sounds like a good one.

i'll keep looking as i recall someone getting an aluminum radiator. hopefully it wasn't from the porsche 997 forums.
