Aluminium Belly Pan

Worst case, maybe a hole doesn't line up, easily fixed. I doubt there is anything substantial. Sort of like the Rookie bumper, you need the 03-05 grill to work, but the rest of it lines up. The only difference may be on the front bumper area. I just don't see what else would be off.

Would love to have one of these bad boys too. I'm a part of the gen 1.5 group so I may be out of luck. :disapointed:

Las Vegas is almost the midpoint between you and me. (maybe a tad closer for me, but not much) I'll meet you there for a little R&D and the ultimate comparison. One universal design is what is really needed.

Nice. I would consider buying the front strip as I already have a belly pan. Prefer to to have it less the Infiniti logo but I could live with it
:). Question, mine is all punched out to allow better bay breathing, critical or not for the B pan?

The version you see on the ground there was for the M35/M45 guys. Those who were involved preferred NOT to have any breathing. Logo is optional as well - most of the time I won't put it in but it worked very well for the M guys. You could see the logo through the bumper mesh and up through from the bottom. Breathing isn't super critical but I generally will add vents.

That is pretty awesome. I'm glad I didn't buy the G one (I saw a few for sale on the forums and considered it since they were similar in look). I know this has been asked, but how thick is it again? Does it sit lower/higher/same as OEM? My belly pan sits ~3" off the ground right now and takes a beating. Any lower and it would rip off.

FWIW guys, he also has great pricing on polished parts. I got a quote from him a while back but never followed through because of laziness and I don't do car shows. But his pricing was really good.

It is .063 Aluminum - strong, yet very lightweight. It will sit very similar to the OEM height so as to keep it snug for lowered vehicles.

Whats the 1.5 version differences? Do you have a different chassis vs the others?

The location of the oil filter is different on the 06+ 45 I believe. The mounting points for the cover will not be an issue, just access to the filter.

All of the 4.5L motors have the oil filter in a very similar area I believe. I have only seen it on the drivers side. The 3.5L has it on the passenger side. RWD is on the side, AWD is towards the front of the car. I have a feeling that it will be very close if not exactly the same.

Damn Damn Damn, modding will never end. Ok, put me down for one.

Nice great update John.

Should clean up the front end nicely and protect everything much better.

Looking forward to this, keep us updated. So glad we can finally get a part like this...!

Havnt had a chance to look at my FX recently. can you confirm john what the the two little wings in black plastic in this picture do? Can they be eliminated?

The two little plastic wings seen in this picture. I hate those things. One piece of metal to replace it all would be wonderful.

I assume they are tied into the fender liners?

Yeah, Those were designed that way for aerodynamics and I'm pretty sure they are integrated into the fender liner. It would make it easier to fab up metal straight instead of cutting around this section, but probably not worth changing the entire fender liner.

So when does this go into production? Just got my car back after accident repair and I see my factory one is cracked from being dragged onto the flatbed.

first prototype needs to be test fitted to make sure its a GO for the FX45 - as well as the FX35. I know the oil doors will be different and will make accomodations as such. However, I need to verify the outside dimensions fit. Since I haven't found a local FX here in Vegas, i'm subject to either someones else's timeframe, or shipping. However, I expect that within a couple weeks I will be able to verify accuracy of product and begin putting into production at that point.
