so i took the boards advice and purchased two fobs and keys online instead of the dealer. ( im in kuwait) i sent my fiancee to the infiniti dealer to cut and program the key , she sends me an email saying that they said the air filter is dirty " so i told them to change it" its 88 bucks:mad.:.

i promptly told her to tell them take it out 88$ is wayyyyy too much which she did!

was i wrong ?

what air filter should i buy? i hear k&n gets the thumbs down around here, oily throttle bodies = no bueno

You were right. The oem filters (you have two) aren't that much and the install is a breeze.

There is absolutely NO proof whatsoever of the K&N filters causing problems. None at all, and lots of people here (myself included) run them without issue.

Sent from my DROID RAZR

I run the oily K&N filters in mine, no problem whatsoever, I bought a kit awhile back which came with cleaner and oils for the filter itself

+3 I have them in mine and haven't had any problems. Cleaned them out last summer along with the air-box and oiled em back up and good as new. I'll probably do them again come spring. Gotta love the recharge kit :-)

Got any links to kits? I've seen k&n filters ranging from 14.99 to 52 on pepboys
