Alpine Multimedia system

The oem radio bezel was modded so it has a sort of hood. The 505 is fairly deep so the ducts had to be reformed a little. It didn't take much reforming, had to cut off a little metal brace thing they have back there too. Nothing crazy.

I had done a prefit using my spare dash board (didn't have my fx at the time) once I got my FX back the space was tight.

One quick question ... i tried asking this before at a different thread...
if remove my stock unit and place it in the glove box(i don't know if it fits or not)
to add a double din that i have sitting in my room... Do you guys think i would lose my warranty for the stuffs replaced ?
Thanks guys

So you want to relocate the OEM screen to the glovebox? It might reach there, but how will you be able to see it?

To get a doubledin into the oem location will require modifying the bezel. I suppose if you had some electrical issues they may blame moving it but not sure. The white box back there underneath of the oem display actually does a lot of stuff. lol

Mine is an 05 so the panels came like that. Having taken the rear panels in and out a few times those pieces are rather big. Not heavy at all but odd shaped and large. They go from the rear to the wheel arch and clip into the rear door weather stripping.

Called Joe yesterday at infinitiparts.com who has the part for me and told me that it only comes in one piece to order. But only need the plastic parts as that's only different.
But as you say their quite big and cost me almost 600,- dollars to ship. That makes it a very expensive cargo cover :err:
Am shipping it now true a friend with seafreight though.......

Tanks rook...!!

Very nice install, looks factory but cooler. I was unfortunate to have the orange lcd screen too, but this gives us hope, jk.

Another Question, do the buttons on the dash still work (setting, trip, fuel, ext)

Wow' salute, nice work my man. One question, will adding that flip screen void out your warranty? If you have one?

Hey Rookie, I'm new I just joined the IS forum and was wondering could you help me out on how you installed the single din in the place of your clock. Is a DIY project or did you have to take it to a shop. Also I was considering putting the new Pioneer avh-x7700bt in the place of the clock. Looking owards your feedback.

Good luck.....he has been MIA at the scene for a long time now. Everything in his projekt is custom so my suggestion is to find a good company who can do this for you
