Hello, I've read through just about every brake pad/rotors thread I could find on here and narrowed down my decision to 2/3 options, and was hoping to get some input on the differences.
I have a 2004 FX35 With 145k miles on it. Current rotors have heat spots from previous owner and there's noticeable degradation of braking performance compared to every other FX35 I've driven. I am not a track driver, and *most* of my time driving is on the highway. I leverage engine braking often so most of my braking is either the final stop before lights/stop signs (low speeds), or its having to slam on the brakes because of some idiot on the highway. So, having high performance braking is a must for me, but is only really needed in such circumstances. Given this is my first brake/rotor replacement job, I opted to delay the upgrade to the FX50 BBK8 mod until later.

3. Power Stop Kit
-Power Stop K2767 Front & Rear Brake Kit with Drilled/Slotted Brake Rotors and Z23 Evolution Ceramic Brake Pads https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005FKAZB...olid=14H7SHV0I3XGM&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it - $294.99
Total: $294.99

Basically I'm wondering if anyone knows if there's any performance differences between Z23 Evolution and Akebono's normal or performance pads? Scenario 1 and 2 use blank Centric rotors but scenario 3 has slotted and drilled Power Stop rotors. Having a hard time deciding here. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
