Akebono BBK Install on FX35

so let me get this straight if going with stainless brakes lines we dont need to worry about the banjo screw?

Do you mean if you buy SS lines made for the FX50? That would come with a shorter banjo screw. If you get banjo bolts that are OEM length, they will still bottom out.

I've seen both screws, they both bottom out. The stoptech brakelines for the 2nd gen FX are the same for both the FX35 and the FX50. Part numbers on their site confirm this. So either case, if you use stock banjo bolts or the stoptech ones, they were designed primarily for the FX35 non-sport non-akebono calipers. So having akebono calipers, you'll be using a banjo bolt setup.

I'm not sure its worth upgrading to stoptech lines if you have the FX35 with the sport package or the FX50S. There's enough hardlines in the brakeslines as it is.

Strangely, the Stoptech lines I got came with a shorter banjo bolt. I know they make 2 lengths, one for OEM calipers and one for BBK. I ordered the lines and they were a few mm shorter than the OEM. I then ordered some extra bolts specifying the shorter length and they were the same as the ones that came on the SS lines. It's really a moot point, both sets of bolts are easy to shorten.

Thinking to upgrade to akebono BBK. I'm running 18s stock on my 2013 fx37. Would it fit perfectly against the wheels?
Please help thanks!
