Aftermarket radio install project underway.

I'm a little embarresed with the last pic of cuttin out the square for the screen location. Looks fugly. I'm gona put a ring trim around it to make it look cleaner.

Just to let you guys know the silver trim on our fx's is actual aluminum. Took a little extra work to cutt through that. Overall the speakers in our fx rock!! With a aftermarket headunit. Sound is like night and day. I push the sound level up and up and it sounds clear. These bose speakers sound good for what they are.

Next im working on dvd playing mod while driving (factory setting doesn't allow you to view movies while driving) and im going to hook up the steering controls to work with the pioneer. Orderd the stuff today and a remote. =]

Props on getting the job done... Looks like a nice headunit.. You did get a little dremel happy with the last screen, but as you said some clean up and trim will set it off nicely.
 
I did draw a cutout but behind the piece but theres allot of raises and tabs that get in the way that i cutt off. I'm going to clean it up today. Also that panel is curved. So the screen will never sit flat against it unless i cutt the clock out, which i didn't want to do due to the viewing angle wouldn't be appropriate.

As for the wireing i bought the metra harnes for the bose system.

Look fwd to seeing the final cleaned up version. Dont feel bad about showing the cut. At least now we know it's not finished yet.

LoL thats a trip and a half. TV tuner. Over here in the states everything is digital. I had a pioneer radio the AVH-P7500dvd which had a tv tuner built in. But that was through antenna signal. Now i don't even know any receiver that has tv tuner anymore unless you have satellite tv. I think either sirius or xm have that service.
