Aftermarket/Aux switch placement

I am looking to add a couple switches to control some aftermarket stuff (2nd fogs, angel eyes). i spent some time looking around and can't really seem to find many good places to put them. Anyone done this? any suggestions on placement? i am looking to place 3 small rocker switches, that way if i add something in the future that needs them i am all set to go.
 
on mine I have a blank spot next to the "snow mode" switch - if yours is blank would that work???
 
it is blank, and would work fine for one switch. i need to mount three though.

me only thought right now is to get a small project like shown below. i would mount the switches in that, then find a good home for that little box.

I missed the 3 switches part......what about the side of the drivers seat? Or the Center console by your leg?
 
yea i think I'm going to mount my little box in there somewhere. seems like anywhere under the dash would be a little to far away/inconvenient.

i bought the panel from the 07 or 08. it has 5 spots for switches. it would be perfect i think. they wouldn't be cut in and you could make it look factory.

i could get you a part number tomorrow if you'd need it. if not, maybe ask joe t if he could help you.

ya. i bought it for my FX. im assuming that the o4 wouldn't be any different. im sure someone else could chime in on this to confirm. i can take a few pics of my panel if you'd like so you can compare the back of mine to where it would mount onto yours. im about 99% sure it's a direct swap, but, i'd hate for you to find out it isn't.
 
i left my tape measure at work =/ but i threw the clock in for a semi-reference. it should be the same panel.

the new panel def fits the early fx, no question...

what about semi hidden micro switches... I hate the look of aftermarket gaudy switches anywhere.. you can get tiny micro switches that can be installed inconspicously that will be easy to use & not an eye sore, only thing is, may require a relay or such to handle the load as most micro switches won't handle much amperage by themselves...
 
so that lower panel is about 130 bucks, which is honestly just more than i'm looking to spend on adding some switches. i'm going to proceed with adding my own little box with some small, amber lighted rockers i bought. i'm working on it at work right now, so i'll snap a couple pics when i get home. should be good enough.
