Hi, I jus installed 6000k Philips Ultinon bulbs and now the AFS-OFF button flashes. Does anyone have any ideas how to get that feature workin again? I tried disconnectin the battery for 10mins but still it didnt reset itself...thanks.

This same thing happened to me before when I changed my stock HID bulbs to Morimoto 6000K bulbs. It caused my AFS off indicator on the dash to flash. Check this out:

I tell you whats going on. You changed the bulb and the cord attached to the socket connected to the back of the bulb is interfering with the AFS actuator moving and keeping the projector from swiveling properly. Since the AFS actuator that pivets the projector lens is seeing an error, it's sending a message back to the AFS control unit that the lens isn't swiveling properly to its full extent. Since the AFS control unit is seeing an error it makes the AFS off light on the dash flash. Kind of like if you got a service engine soon light.

It's a simple fix bro. Take the socket off the bulb again and put it back on, and make sure the cord is tucked away better and away from the back of the bulb. The problem is the cord getting tangled in with the actuator and keeping it from moving properly.

Feel free to PM with questions since I was in this mess last year too.

That cord is pretty long. Im suppose to tuck it away from the back of the bulb? Where did u yours? I tried it once earlier but had no luck, but I'll try again 2mrw since it's dark out.

Yes tuck it away from the back of the bulb. Also I forgot to mention that more than likely the socket attached to the back of the bulb is on backwards. Put it on the opposite facing way on both sides. I remember mine was on wrong and I switched the socket the other way and it fixed it.
