The amber bulbs are very bright when the brakes are on. You definitely notice them. The amber leds we used are brighter than your setup.

Oh, there still is a lot more coming up to post soon. Ported/polished manifold is done. Transgo shift kit, BBK, paddle shifters, and deciding on which exhaust to go far. Also thinking about getting my lowers painted, especially the front bumper too.

My intake manifold project is also finally finished and reinstalled. I had to do it at two separate shops over the past two months. Got the intake runners polished for aesthetics in the engine bay. The biggest mod was getting it ported. I was skeptical at first but after seeing the results and the side by side comparisons, I was amazed with the results. The complete underside was ported and smoothed out and the difference is night and day. The OEM manifold felt like sandpaper compared to the ported one. The shop I went to typically does American muscle and drag race cars and I was probably their only Japanese car ever, lol. They said usually with porting you get an average of 5-10hp. Price wasn't too bad for the porting compared to the end result. There is NO other option for the VKs, so porting is the only way to go. Thanks to Jeff, FXLR8, for offering the manifold as an exchange to fellow IS members! Take advantage of this, it is worth the money, time, and getting a core on a manifold is nearly impossible if Jeff didn't offer it!

You've had your FX45 the shortest and probably have the most modded FX45... Nice job Andrew, that looks 100x better.

BBK is almost to your house? I haven't checked the tracking number.
 
Nicely done. The tow shops did a great job. I was blown away how good the polished runners look. You did good! :top:

One small box got here today. It's one of three. The DHL guy said, they only have one so far.
 
Very nice indeed. Having ported turbos, intake and exhaust manifolds before, I know there's HP in there. They did a good job, but I would have expected encouraged them to be more aggressive with it ;-)

Thanks Ed. I am like full steam ahead on the mods right now and I can't wait to finish them up. BBK arrived today as well.

The porting was not cheap. I didn't really shop around. It was hard to find a shop to do it in general and without removing everything underneath. It was $375 for porting and $275 for polishing. Not cheap, but there is no other options for the VK.

Seriously, you should. I can ship the spare manifold to you directly. Opportunities to get one will rarely come up. I really think you should take advantage of this. Thanks to Jeff again on this. Did you even to the E-fan mod yet? :hahaha:

I haven't even begun to research where I would get this done. Maybe I should get cracking. =P
