Hey guys, picked up a 05 FX35 (hot model #2) last week which eventually needed new tires, so I thought I would update the rims too. I liked the look of the stock 20s, but wanted something with a little pizazz, and settled on the following:

Advanti A9 Costola - 20x8.5 40mm offset (Staggered look)
w/ Hankook Ventus ST RH06 285/50/20

I wanted to go as wide a tire possible for some sidewall bulge so the wifey doesn't have to worry about curbing the rims, and I like the meaty look. I really like the machined finish, but may have to consider a drop but concerned about scraping the chin spoiler on parking chocks/curb when parking.

I did notice that it feels like I lost alittle of the acceleration pickup. The rims weigh 32lbs (going to weigh the stock 18s tonight), but it might be the tires that may bring the added weight vs. stock. Either that or they're just real sticky.

That is alot of rim protection. Guess it's cuz the profile isnt that small. Curious how the inside looks. The bulge is generally twice as big. Got pics?

i dont think you would scrape. im running eibachs that sit pretty dern low and im fine, although my tow hitch always scrapes. you just have to be careful. Eibach FTW
