Adjusting BC Coilovers (Lowering Ride Height)

i dont know why i cant loosen lock nut c, do you go left or right to take lock nut c up? its on tiight i cant do it

I don't remember but judging by the pictures it looks like you would go right to bring C up.

Thanks for the replies, i did right to left and it wouldnt move. Does the coilover need to be off the car to be adjusted or bolted up? i think it can be adjusted off or on but not sure. Also whats the preload adjustment all about im lost on that?

It will definitely easier to loosen ring C if you lift the wheel a bit to lessen the weight pushing against the ring. The preload adjustment to me is to stiffen the ride more when you have cranked the dampening all the way to hard and still not to liking.

la fx35- have you adjusted your preload? i have 0 preload and 3 hard setting. The car is not stiff at all. So adjusting it will make it stiff what abou the handling? will you feel a drastic difference?

dampening setting for all 4 corners 3 clicks from hard

No I have not adjust the preload. Mine are at 0 and no problem beside going over a railroad. At first I thought I was rubbing, but yesterday with windows down I felt it and from the sound it more like the belly pan is scrapping instead. So I'm good for now with the the 0 preload. So which coilovers you got?

Loosen the top locking ring, then lower the ring the bottom ring , and then lower the top ring to lock it in place.
