Adjusting air/fuel mixture

I just bought a used FX 45 with 42,000 miles on it. I figured it couldn't hurt to change the plugs and I hoped it would help the gas mileage a little. When I pulled the plugs, they were all wet with unburned gas. So that, combined with my poor mileage makes me think I might be running a little rich. I looked around the throttle body while I had the intake off, but I couldn't see an adjustment screw anywhere. Is there an air/fuel adjustment screw and where might it be? Thanks in advance for the help.

I dont believe you can manually adjust your A/F since the Fx has a MAF sensor that informs the ECU air volume and sends the appropriate amount of gas.

is it still under factory warranty? should be from your mileage. ... never mind saw your sig (03)

good luck with your quest:wink:

No, everything with the A/F is done by the ECU. You may want to try and TS ecu reflash to up the performance maps. You may be able to play with the A/F numbers if you can get your hands on the nissan consult 2 tool.

haha . .we got an old schooler here
Did you take a look at that trick, motor driven throttle body?!? Pretty cool huh?

Was this Oil or Gas?

Z's and G's are having problems with thier #1 and #6 cylinders having oil puddling on the spark plugs in these cylinders...don't see why it wont happen to us?...we have the same engine VQ35DE
Spark plug tube seals are busting....causing the dealers to replace the valve covers....your still covered till 6yr/ 70k mile powertrain warranty...

Actually, all of us should start checking this
