additionnal headlights, how to install ?

hi,
i am french living in france where infiniti is poorly distribued.
i will wish to install additionnal headlihgts on my car.
i need to pick a + on high beam solenoid circuit to drive my additionnal relay.
wire colours needed.
have you yet made this modification ?

Additional headlights? What do you mean, like LED bar or PIAA foglights or something like that?
 
hi,
i have six wires in the entry of xenon head light :
i want to know wiring.
red, green, yellow, blue, black, black.
which are wire colors for high beam solenoid ?
do you know?
 
According to 09 & 10 wire color:
Left hand side hi beam + is yellow, - is black
Right hand side hi beam + is brown, - is black

You can also probe the wire with a meter to see which wire give you 12V when you turn on the hi beam.

perhaps it is two ground.
but if i have now the +, i can take ground of the vehicule for my relay.
excuse for no searching in manuals, i am lost in them because my language is very poor, i am french !
 
i have probed the brown wire on right while high beam is excited, never a +12v appear on it ! !
i make a mistake..........but where?
the bad connector, the bad color, i dont know...........
my car is a 3.0D, perhaps wiring is different.

i go slowly, because i know high voltage can be here,

nota: in fact, there is three black wires.
 
There is no high voltage before the ballast. High voltage is between the ballast and the bulb. so its safe. Only 12V. I can't imagine Infiniti have different wiring. Post up a picture of what you're looking at.
 
Are you sure your probe got pass the wire insulation? Perhaps, use a needle to probe the wire again.
 
I took a fine needle to pierce the insulation and I even see the copper.
am i on the good connector ?
 
Sure looks like the correct connector. Are the headlights on when you're probing the wire?

Trace the wire that goes into the ballast.

can you send me the page of manual where you have seen colors so that i try to understand fonctionnalities ?

QX70 is different
there is a high beam solenoid to activate an internal pallet for the high head lights, with a same bulb for lows.
