I'm new to the forum and appreciate any help in advance!
Car - 2009 Infiniti FX35 non sport, non tech.

I have searched and found some info on Adaptive headlamps but most folks are trying to go from adaptive to non adaptive headlamps.
I am considering the opposite and wanted to see if there would be any issues in doing so.
First off the reason I am considering going to adaptive from non adaptive is because I can get a new set of adaptive for about $800 cheaper than if I buy a new set of non adaptive lights.
My wife hit a deer and damaged the Right headlamp and I am looking to have a matching set if the price is right.
The dealer list her current light around $1800 and they go used for about $800 and up in various conditions.
Now to my main question....will there be any major downsides to installing an adaptive light into a non adaptive car? I am assuming the lights and all will work if the plugs are the same, can anyone confirm this?
Also, I am wondering if the adaptive lights are fixed in the normal driving position until powered on, or would they be in a random position that would make this a pointless effort?
