About Window Trim Warranty

Hello all I have 05 FX35.
My FX has faded window trims...
I was just wondering if there is any warranty on them???
Thank you !

No official warranty as far as i know but some have gotten their dealers to replace them out of courtesy. Doesnt hurt to ask, or strike a deal w. the service department or maybe even infiniti corporate.

Nonetheless though they will fade eventually again, so the most permanent option is to get them painted by a shop.

Edit:

Just read this thread and Chedman mentions a recall on the trim. Hopefully i am wrong and there is one! Good luck Hanjo!

Hello all,
I actually contacted Infiniti Consumer Affair about faded and peeled off window trims and the dealership honored and agreed to replace those trims for me even though my warranty is already expired.
However, they still have to charge me the labor which will cost about $300 considering all the parts cost over $1000 in total..
Which I think labor itself is still expensive for me...
Do you guys think it is worth replacing those trims by paying $300 labor??

No way, that's too much money. It's a pretty easy DIY actually. You have to take the door panels off and the mirror and just unclip/dismount them. I will be doing the same in about another week or two.

You could also spent a little and get them painted gloss black. Fading issue solved!

whatever happened to that Bat Mobile guy?? I freakin' went all the way down to San Diego so he could do the measuring and nothing ever came out of it?

Would you mind mentioning the Dealership that offered this? New Jersey i'm guessing.

My trims aren't fading yet but just good notes to have.
