2004 FX45
Hey everyone, Im debating whether to buy a 2004 FX45 Black with grey leather every option available. It has 113,300 and he wants 13,500. Its in mint condition? Do you guys love your vehicles? Are they worth it?
 
Hi. I just bought about the same exact vehicle you did. Same price although mine was a year newer. I think you'll find that we all love our FXs and this community we call iS. You will never regret buying the FX. Trust me. Go for it!
 
Thanks Dave! Is their anything I should look for specifically? Also, I test drove a 2008 g35 sedan and I wasnt that impressed, it wasnt much different than my BMW 323i which is 14 yrs old. Do you know if the fx45 drives like the G35 sedan? Ive never driven the FX before.
 
I cannot comment as I haven't driven the G sedans but the FX is a dream to drive and you'll love the sound of the V8 :)
 
That's what I have too. It all depends on how the previous owner was about performing maintenance. It's a very strong engine and well built car. Great power, I switched from a BMW E46 and liked how it handled. Drives like a car, handles well, but gives you the room and sit higher than most cars. Mine is currently at a bit over 96K and no issues, except just regular oil changes etc etc. There is a few on here who are way past 100K and someone with even 220K.
 
I've driven many G sedans and to be honest they drive like an FX because its the same chassis and what not. An Infiniti is an Infiniti.

I have a 2nd gen FX35 and its actually a sec faster 0-60 than the 1st gen FX45. I can't comment on a 1st gen FX but a 2nd gen FX has a better ride than the G sedan and its more structurally rigid.
 
Welcome, only you can determine if it's mint or not. We love our FXs here and yes, they are worth it. Just make sure you are able to find a history of maintenance if possible, or get the VIN and have an Infiniti dealer look it up.
 
Well my opinion would be to go for a 2006 since at that year it got a updated interior. But regardless of the FX you get you will fall in love with it. Is a guarantee..
