A dream come true!

Hi guys! I am newly signed up on here, though previous to signing up I have been reading up a bit on here while at work! So to start I had my first Infiniti in 2003, it was a 98 g20, and I loved it! Almost 2 years ago I bought a g35 coupe and went crazy... BC coilovers, z tube w/pop charger, greddy evo exhaust... Had it slammed to the ground and just enjoyed every minute of ownership. Ended up falling in love with the FX series and wishing I could own one... Sold the g and picked up a Lexus ls4... Regretting every minute of ownership and wishing I had picked up an m45 instead, I sold it and began shopping for an FX45. Every single one I checked out had been sold before I was able to check them out, and I almost gave up and bought a high mileage 35. Though one day I cruised through my local Nissan dealer and saw it... An FX45... I stood by it until a salesman came out and said that they just received it as a trade in... 26k miles, fully loaded 2008. What else could I do... I took a 2 hour lunch break from work to ensure this vehicle would be mine. Well, here I am... Proud owner of a pristine 45... Timing was everything, because 2 days prior I test drove an EX35 and though it was grand, minus the awful stiff ride... But regardless guys, I LOVE my 45!!! Can't wait to start adding things to it!! I told my self I would not lower it, but we shall see next year once I get wheels... Because I love it as is. First order of business will be an exhaust of some sort. I have been chatting with a Z owner who is selling a super sick true dual straight pipe set up with motodyne tips, may pick it up, knowing of of course it will need a little modification to fit, or if not I don't know what I will do... Maybe flowmaster or something similar... So yeah, that is my story!! Howdy y'all!

Welcome to iS. I'm also a newly signed up member, and looking forward for great things to happen here in this forum, for mutual benefit...

Nice!

They don't have a whole lot of aftermarket options for the 45 but there are a few. Coilovers is going to be your best bang for the buck for sure. The stance of the FX is just... BETTER when we close the wheel gap. A lot of guys space out the wheels too - 20-30mm depending on personal taste.

If you love it the way it is now, being able to dial in both the ride height AND then dampening allows you to truly customize the feel. I went from the stock suspension to Eibach lowering springs and thought it was a really nice improvement in feel. Then a couple years later I installed the BC coilovers and have now had them on two FXs. Can't say enough about the improvement.

Good luck and welcome to the site!

Congrats on finally finding a 45, and welcome to IS! What color exterior and interior?

Thanks for all the replies! Truly the best welcome amongst any forum I have ever been apart of! I only have one photo of it currently, but I don't know if I can even post it yet.. I truly love this forum so far, I haven't even had to search very far for things I want to know because it is all so very out.in the open. Also guys, I have thought about spacers, but I had ichiba v2 spacers on my g35 and they destroyed my wheel studs for some reason. Well again, thanks for the welcome notes! I will be updating my status as my FX progresses! I don't know if there are any other Texas FXers, but if so Hi! I am in San Antonio.

I have actually been feeling that my first 3 changes would be to tint my front wi.does, get an exhaust and seek out the +2 timing I have been reading about :-)
