Hello everybody im kinda new to the forum, and have a question that maybe you guys could answer. I performed the dtrl swap today and am trying to put some leds in place of the stock dtrl bulb. Every time I put them in nothing, I do the 180 rotate and nothing. If i barely push them in then it'll light up, the bulbs have 2 prongs on each side... Is something wrong with the prongs??? PLEASE ADVISE!!!!!:eek.: .... I would post a pic, but the forum rules wont let me yet..

Oh and its a 2005 if that matters..

where did you get the leds?? the same thing happened to me a while back... and i realized that the company sent me 7440's instead of 7443's and that is why they didn't work.... try plugging them in to the turn signal and see if they work, if so then they are 7440's.....

also there is a group buy on led dtrls that have been tested so they don't burn out for being on too long... it's in the group buy section...

I cant post a link, but there from ebay.. A company called Zeus Lighting its the only one that offers free shipping maybe you can see the specs from there... And thanks im in on the group buy sending my money tomorrow.. Just wanted to try these until then.

Make sure the prongs make contact with the "metal" strips inside the socket. You might need to twist them the other way or bend them out a bit so the do make contact. You got the right bulbs if they light up even for a second. Hope that helps

Good call Hugo I put them in the turn signal and they work.... That sucks I don't know why its listed as 7443/7440.... Well thanks for the help... At least theres the group buy...

Probably because as Sir21 mentioned, you can twist the connectors and convert them to 7443. But until you find out, it could be a PITA. Not a good way to market a product.
