Hi Guys,

Whoever is interested please post your name here. Just to remind you guys, everyone please bring like 10 to 12 dollars. We will give Beast (the owner of the cipher), $10 USD per person for lending us the Cipher. I remembered that was concluded in the original post. (Correct me if I am wrong). We can also split the shipping cost back to the next user.

We will finalize the date and time once Jeff has received the cipher.

Jeff is sending me the Cipher on Monday. If we are lucky, then we will get it by Friday. Otherwise, Nov 10 will be the case. Then we need to finalize a date that will be good for everyone to meet up and do the mod. We will need a laptop. I like to bring mine, but mine was taken by my brother out of town.

The mod should take only 10 ~ 15mins per person. We can meet up somewhere in Burnaby in this case. I am thinking probably the around the Grand Buffet area, where there is a big parking lot around that area.

I will propose the date once I have received the tracking number.

Let me know what you guys think and the dates you are available. The meet will mostly happen in the evening around 7pm if we need to do it over the weekday. Otherwise, it will be a morning or early afternoon event during the weekend.

I'm available pretty much any of the times you listed White Hair. I just tell my wife I'm meeting with other FX'ers and she rolls her eyes and goes back to whatever she was doing. I can bring my laptop if needed. I'm not sure where the Grand Buffet is but if it's raining we may want to go to an underground parking lot. Maybe IKEA on the Lougheed Hwy.

Sure thing man. We can finalize that. We probably don't need to go to underground parking lot. If required, Lougheed or even metro will work. We can do this in the car without our door open :)

I have track the parcel with the tracking number. USPS is very slow on updating shipping status. I am expecting it to come next Tuesday or Wednesday. Normally it take 7 business days to get it from Cali to Van.

I try telling my wife that we are all FX enthusiasts but she just shakes her head. It's all good though, I just shake my head when she's on facebook.

7 days sounds about right for USPS. I will be away for next Thursday night but hopefully we can do this just before or on Saturday.

Same here. When I told my gf about my FX.. she's like .... "sigh... cars... again" not much different:wink:

Anywayz, when the parcel shows up at my door. I will let you guys know. PM me your cell number just in case.

Advancing the timing means that combustion begins slightly sooner in the piston combustion chamber. This produces more pressure on the piston when it reaches it's top position. You then get a little more torque and horsepower. Generally, a timing advance should not be considered if you do not routinely run higher octane fuel. I always run Chevron 94.

Well, we had our little mini meet and it went about 2/3 well. Unfortunately VanFX's FX seems to be incompatible with the Cipher. It was nice to meet both you guys and at least for White Hair and me it went well. I have to thank White Hair for recieving, sending, loading the disc, providing the laptop, collecting payment and doing everything else for this little mod meet.

My first impression is that this little adjustment seems very worthwhile. It's a very subjective thing but it does feel like I have added just a little more power across the rpm range. I've always fed my FX 94 octane but maybe now I'll get something tangible out of it.

Here's a shot (White Hair, IlovemyFX, and VanFX - left to right)

Im still enjoying the extra "hp" from the +2 also. glad it worked out for most of you
