So how is the KP messing things up? I ask because I was looking at the KP fog kit to turn fogs on by themself.

Hey guys,
Do you guys notice a huge difference between HID fogs and Hoen bulbs in the fogs in terms of light output? Is it a slight difference or a very noticeable difference in light output?
Also, has anyone had any problems with HID bulbs getting too hot in the foglight housing and doing damage? The shop I'm looking to install it for me warned me about that. Thanks guys!

Hoen bulbs only match the color of HID bulbs. They are no where near the light output of HID.

Hoen bulbs are noticeably blue. I wouldn't say they match the stock hids.
When you run 8k bulbs in your headlights, Hoen bulbs look orange in comparison.

I see. So has anyone had a problem with overheating the housing after being on for a prolonged duration?

I haven't heard of overheating issues with HID in the fogs. Just ensure you get the D2R bulbs made for reflective housings (not projector) or you'll blind on coming traffic and look like you didn't know what you were doing. It's a pretty easy mod, how much are they quoting you? What shop?

AeroCarParts (opened by Rick who used to be the Downtown Infiniti Manager) said they can overheat. Quoted me about $240 for the kit and about $60-80 to install. I would do it myself but don't have the garage space (live in a condo) to do it. If I can find a garage to do it myself I would do the HID conversion, install my 20mm spacers and make my own grounding kit. I'll have to look around. You recommended the MTEC HID kit? Where can you get that? Ebay?

I would get the MTEC kit because then it would match my headlights perfectly. $240 is not a bad price actually. On EBay its about that, in US funds.
