6000K Bulbs / LED parking lights installed

I installed a pair of DDM 6000K D2S bulbs yesterday after having installed my LED parking lights a couple weeks ago. $15 for a pair of HID bulbs seems kind of stupid really, but I had a a DDM HID kit in two previous cars and a motorcycle with great success. The pictures actually make the light much "bluer" than they are in real life. I think I might order a set of 5000K as well and test to see what I like best. Because the actual light output and quality is more important to me, 5000K may be the way to go. I will drive at night for a bit and see how they perform. BOY do they make the fogs looks yellow! Let me know what you think?

Looks good man but check the beam pattern at night and see how the output is

Thanks! Checked the beam and cutoff and they are perfect. Need some night time driving to tell the actual illumination. I will test and report back!

FX is at Infiniti right now getting a couple little things checked. The techs love the LED parking lights, license plate lights and 6000K bulbs!

Looks good.

I've tested a few "generic" bulbs" such as the DDM and while they look good at first the color gets washed out after a while. I also notice my beat pattern cut off line wasn't as sharp as stock because the DDM and other generic bulbs lack the proper base clamps that insure the capsule is seated properly.

Phillips, Osram, Morimoto, GE are one of the few high quality manufacturers that actually use this. After a whole bunch of money wasted I ended up with some high quality 5K Osram CBI bulbs. The cutoff and light output is perfect.

But if your on a budget a want looks then the DDM bulbs will do. If you want quality, performance, and best lumens output then Phillips, Morimoto, or Osram are the best choices.

Just my $0.2... Your FX looks great though.

Just got the the Osram 5000K CBI bulbs. Hope to get them installed this week. Are the LED parking lights reliable? Do they overheat the reflector assembly?

What was your reason for going with the Osram if you dont mind my asking? I have these same LED bulbs in my Murano and they work great and have had no issues. So far in the FX, same result.

I installed Philips Ultinon Flash White 6000K bulbs in mine (installing it in my 2nd FX now! lol) , after having really bad luck with Morimoto. I love these bulbs, the color is Amazing and the cut off lines are super sharp. I recommend these since you can get them for about 1/2 price of the Osram bulbs.

I just got my LED's from superbrightleds.com, and the only ones remaining to install are the parking lights. I even did the license plate. Does anyone know how to get to the parking lights through the engine bay please?

Thanks

Hey Roadracer, just got my DDMs yesterday and installed today... did you have any firing issues when u installed? Mine are not firing properly... they flash on/off when I turn them on. After two or three turn ons, they stay on.... wondering if you had the same issue....

I have DDM in my fogs and I have had no issues at all

The parking lights aka "city lights" are just below the bulb of the turning signal , they have a 2" plastic prong with a small hole on the end of it sticking out , you just have to reach down with your hand, grab the plastic prong and twist it to get the bulb out. I just did it last night took no more than 10 minutes.
