45 Air Duct on the 35?

I realized that the 45s have a much bigger air duct than the 35 and looked up the schematics on infinitipartsusa.. Do you guys think this duct would fit the 35? Maybe with some modifications (don't think so) to the piece where it gets connected to the filter box?

No EG3, it won't fit on a 35. The part of the duct that goes under the front of the frame will not accomadate the larger 45 duct. Also, the design is significtly different so fitment into the same area will not accomodate.

^^ I wish it was possible. I really think that the 35 duct is a big restriction.. As far as I could see, the air that comes from the front hits directly onto a wall. Kills all the speed and acts more like an air container than an air diverter..

Alterator, averter, deflector, modulator and finally moderator! I have a talent on creating BS words and naming engine parts with them

I don't know about the 35 but if you look closer behind the grill of the 45 you will see that the entrance to the air duct is actually blocked and not even free flowing. There are a few threads on the removal of this plastic piece on the org and I believe rookie even removed it on his FX, so I the 35 has this as well.

So if you wanted to increase some air flow you can probably achieve it by doing this little mod =)

Yup, I remember that one but it looks like the 35 duct is even worse. See the one below:

That thin slot is NOT even all getting air. The parts on the left and right are the only places that get air directly.. You are better off leaving the side of the Stillen/stock air box open really.. Since the weather is cold in Boston nowadays, I'll try just that.. Using this duct is meaningless..
