3M Carbon Fiber Adhesive

I have the 3M adhesive sheet and am planning on doing my center console and around my nav in the am. It says in the instructions that for best results to use a clear 3m primer/adhesive. My question is to anyone who have done this, did you use the clear primer or not. How long has it been on and what is your suggestions. I was just going to put it strait on so that when i sell the car or if it started looking bad I could just take it off and put it back to stock......

Did you ever get an answer on this? I have been wrapping a few parts w/o the primer, but I have it. I was thinking of doing the ashtray assembly, and wann't sure if I should use primer.

I think if i get black im going to wrap the side vents in 3m.

I did my iphone 4 in this stuff in white. Pretty good stuff.

I would use it on any complex curved areas/corner like the inner rim of the cup holder. I find those areas as the most likely to start peeling away than anywhere else.
