3M Carbon DI-NOC Film

the 3M is easy to handle for normal curves/corners, but need to have heat gun.
have them on my interior trims on my other car and looks great.
nice product to have and easy to install, much better than those fabric look-a-likes

Like I said earlier, be sure to use a lot of heat. It all depends on what you are doing with it. For my mirrors, I took them off. Then had a friend help me hold the other end of the sheet. We held it over his stove to get it pliable and then just pulled it down over the piece.

For the parts that get wrinkled, just pull it back up, use a heat gun to get it workable, and then just repeat the first step by pulling it down. The material will get really loose when held around heat. You will see when you do it. Also the stuff I ordered off Ebay has a 4 year warranty and has the texture in it. It showed up for me the next day with free shipping.

Good luck!

I tried due to the fact of me being lazy. But it is just so much easer to take them off. They just simply pop off and are then much easer to work with. Are you going to do the whole mirror? I just did the gold part (the car paint) on mine.

The biggest reason I took them off is because I also used to stove top as a heat source to heat the large piece of vinyl evenly. It’s all up to u though. One other good reason is that you can pull just a little bit around the back and then put the puce on so it hides the seems and looks cleaner.

I will try to get pics up tomorrow because its 12:30 AM now. That way you can see.

Does it just pop off? Any removal instruction on where the clips are? Detouring consider wrapping it as I fuck up backing up out of my garage and scrapping the mirror on the wall a little =\

Does u have 1st gen or 2nd gen or do the mirror comes off the same way?

And yea I only want to do the upper part not the entire mirror

It's pretty easy..Took about 1 min to pop off the covers.. Do a search for the mirror led mod. Basically, you put a flat screw driver or trim remover under the mirror (middle-bottom) and pry the mirror loose from it's holder.. Once that's off, you should be able to see the clips holding the cover in place..

How do you wrap around the chrome pieces? I tried doing my key fob, and it cracked the chrome. I want to wrap my ash stray assembly, but I'm afraid it will do the same thing. Does everyone use the primer?
