however idk how well it would (or wouldn't) compliment the wheat/tan interior... Nonetheless, this is going to be useful for wrapping my laptop hehe

neither do I, but the sample sheet only $8. I think I'd much rather do a brushed aluminum vinyl if they made one that others have used and could give feedback on. Either way, it has to look better than my very scratched up aluminum now.
 
They do make brushed aluminum vinyl's. I used to use it a lot. But since it's a "metallic" vinyl, it has a foil like quality to it that makes it very hard to work with. It doesn't really stretch much even under heat and doesn't conform particularly well to curves.

This stuff is pretty easy to work with. If you are capable of wrapping a gift then you can basically work with this stuff. It has a high stretch point. You can really stretch it with the right amount of heat and the pattern will still stay in line. Only thing is I couldnt figure out how to really hide the corners for the cup holder lid and ash tray lid so the inside you can see the corners are slightly bunched up but its not very noticeable. I tried taking apart the aluminum trim but it has glue all over and the aluminum gets too hot to handle when a heat gun is applied.

As for the steering wheel you have to be very careful. I knocked out one of the tabs taking those things out. It also has a bunch of little rockers and pins that fall right out if you arent careful. :mad:

It hides dents real well. V1 fell off A LOT and left pretty bad dents in the center console. I cant even notice where those dents are now. The matte finish really helps with hiding a lot of my old imperfections.

Do you just remove the one screw behind each piece and pry off?
 
Definitely going to have to redo my console again, started peeling up around the inner edges of the cup holder. I will redo it when I get the primer 94.

Better than painting. I can replace it when it starts to fade and if I dont want the look anymore, I can take it off.

There's chrome vinyl out there too guys... Anyone who was thinking about buying the insanely pricey chrome moldings for their fx.:mad:
