3M Carbon DI-NOC Film

Seemed very forgiving. They were setting & lifting the same piece all day with similar results . . . even after crushing it up into a wrinkled ball.

here is a test fit, not sure if I should do the the trim on the left and right of the console or just leave it.

I didnt wrap those side pieces you are talking about but i think it might look better if they were done or just black for that matter

Are you gonna cover the button for the cup holder release?

Did you lose the function of your ashtray? I couldn't figure how to put the spring back and plus it is a tighter fit, so it is pretty much permanently closed for now.

fxlr did you use the primer as well? It is a must. I made the mistake at I had to redo one of the pieces the next day. The primers holds it in like magic

Mine opens and closes just fine, mine was tighter at first but you kinda just have to work it in a bit and then it works as it normally should.

Does anyone here have one thats been weather tested? Looks freakin good, but the durability might be questionable especially those who live in hotter climate.

Wow... in the Evo's interior that stuff looks so-so... in the FX that is gorgeous. I'll see if my bro wants to do that (it'd look exactly like Jeff's, same shift plate and same center console design).

Jeff, why did you mention re-doing it some time down the road? I can't see any flaws from the pics...

No, but maybe I should of. Where did you get it at?

Just learned a better technique of heating and stretching it around the corners, and I want to use 3M Primer 94 next time. At first I was kind of folding it around corners, but found out later that you can heat and stretch it over the corners.

Just did the door handles today.....couldn't figure out how to remove the pieces from the steering wheel.

looks good

do you think it can hide dents and scratches on the aluminum ?

Yes i hides dents! I had a couple on the center piece from my radar sunction cups failing and it hitting the aluminum, and this stuff covered it up. It pretty thick so it'll cover most reasonable dents.
